Kauai Recycling for the Arts Projects Free Demonstrations and Tours Kauai Recycling for the Arts offers free public demonstrations so that all of Kauai’s community can be part of the exciting experience of giving new life to items that usually end up in our landfill! Studio hours are 9am-1pm, Tuesday-Friday. Please call ahead to reserve a tour. Workshops and Classes Workshops are offered at reasonable fees for those who want to learn more and make their own recycled glass artwork. Please see our Workshops page for a current schedule. Visiting Artists KRA will bring artisans from around the state and the world who work in a variety of recycled materials to Kauai to demonstrate their methods and works to the community. Educational Programs Working in tandem with the Department of Education and other community based organizations KRA will create educational programs for Kauai’s youth and community at large. KRA is excited about creating programs that will mentor the youth of Kauai. In a safe environment, hot glass blowing and casting engages students and demands that they work as a team, learn to communicate well, rely on and trust each other.
